Completed my “Lost Chants of Sicily” for flute. In Sicily, in the 1950s, it was still possible to listen to the real ancient folk music. A little later, the rapid and gigantic expansion of the mass media would have marked the gradual disappearance of it. For a long time I have been trying to enter into symbiosis with that archaic world to rediscover the sense of certain lost sonorities.
